Tulips to pick

Driving along the B5 on our way to a little longer weekend trip we passed this beautiful tulips field. It's just at the entrance of  Ribbeck. Read about the sweet little place Ribbeck in a previous blog entry here

You pick the flowers yourself (knife provided) and leave the money in the box.

Flowers to pick

Recently on our way to Ribbeck in Havelland we passed this flower field just at the entrance of the village. Actually most flowers were already withered but still got some nice gladiolas. You pick your own flowers with a knife provided and put the money for the flowers you pick in a box.  

Only paid flowers bring you joy and friends, they write .... of course, we put the money in the box and enjoyed the flowers at home!

My Balcony Flowers

I am so happy to have my balcony. It’s such a nice sunny place. Especially these days that the sun is out. 
This spring I went to Obi Baumarkt and bought the flower-boxes and flowers. Last year when we moved in I had no patience for it at all. Now, every morning when I leave for work, I look up at the 4th floor (and no lift) at my balcony and my flowers and smile.

However, yesterday the Stiefmuetterechen had to give way to Lavendel and Chrysanthemen

Living in India between an abundance of flowers makes me miss them. - the rich colors, the scents and simply its beauty.  I try my best with my little balcony. But I got the idea to try strawberries next year. Let's see ...
